Kennocha didn't like car rides. He started drooling. She turned on the music. Country was her favortie. The songs seemed more real than any other types of music. She looked out the window and the sky was now a grey blue. She breathed in deeply. She didn't know exactly where she was going, she really didn't care. She was just driving, going nowhere. Kennocha looked at her, his eyes were wet and she knew she needed to pull over. They were driving now for a few hours. She pulled over and saw a restaurant. She decided against it. She was low on cash anyways. She looked down at her left hand and saw the light blue ring. She smiled. Then she rememberd. They were under a tree. He looked at her, brown eyes piercing her soul. He didn't even know she was head over heels for him. Her journal was filled with drawings she drew of him. Not one of them could capture his real beauty though. She never thought beauty was a manly word, she didn't like to use it. But, at this moment, that was the word that fit best. His smile was just intoxicating. She was snapped back to reality. She picked up Kennocha and headed back to her car. Driving again now. Going back on the road, she saw people. They looked like a happy little family. She stared at them with envy. How she wished her parents cared enough to call and see if she was ok. When she was 16 they both left to Italy. They were running away. Running away from her, their problems, their worries..Everything. The asphalt was still wet from the rain. Kennocha fell asleep. She pet him and decided to stop again. The motel was cheap, kind of. It took half of what she had to pay for it. She also had to pay and extra fee for her dog. In the room, she placed Kennocha on the floor. He then went to the bed. She then layed down and stared at the ceiling. She closed her eyes and started dreaming. She dreamt about him. She did every night. She regretted leaving, she never took the ring off either. In her dream, she saw his face. They were walking together, with Kennocha. She dreamt about them sitting down and she dreamt about her crying. She dreamt about when she told him that she loved him. And how she didn't want him to leave her. She dreamt about it because remembered it. It was dark. The street light was on. They walked up a small hill and sat down. He held her and she felt the butterflies. She remembered him smiling. She remembered his grin when she told him that she loved him. She remembered how she felt and she knew she meant it. She got woken up by Kennocha. He was barking. She was suddenly morose when she realized that she was lying in a cheap motel bed with Kennocha barking.
