People are upset. And rightfully so. I supported Hillary Clinton as my democratic nominee, but I would have supported any democratic nominee. That's an issue I will get into later. I saw this post this morning and it got me thinking. America (from my point of view) didn't not elect Clinton because she was a woman. She wasn't trustworthy, she had a few skeletons in her closet, and she just seemed-bluntly-like not the right choice. It isn't anything about her being a woman and I think a lot of her pull was because she was a woman. She talked a good talk and had a great race. I'm not saying Trump was an angel or whatever-I don't support what Trump says, stands for, or how he has lived his life. But people wanted change. They wanted to stick it to the big corporations and the elite and so they picked a candidate to do that. They voted for America to cut the bullshit and actually support its people. Regardless of if it was the right or wrong choice I get why people chose to do so. I wouldn't do that. I tried in the primaries and I voted for who I thought would be the next best president and that person was not chosen. That's okay. But don't blame Hillary not getting elected because she was a woman. I am not naive enough to believe that everyone is as open to have an equal America for men and women as I am-I know some people out there still believe in gender segregation. But I don't believe that this race was won, or rather, not won because Hillary Clinton is a woman.
America Made its choice last night (or early this morning depending on where you live) and this is the world that we choose to live in. I don't support what happened but I will continue to vote on things and do what I think is right. I will continue to be informed and hope that the new president will make the right decisions for ALL people-like he said he would.
Prove everyone wrong Mr. Trump, please. Because there are so many people terrified of all of the things that you said and rallied to do.
Do right by all Americans. Not just the republicans who agree with you-but all of us.
