Let me just start by saying I am in no way a feminist.
There is a guy who posted in my Discussion Board for my online class about the first forum topic we had.
I read it so I will give you the chance to do the same thing:
This song is referring to strip clubs and throwing money at girls to get naked. I chose this because I wanted to point out how it easily women can control men in our society these days. There are creepy men out there that will not be able to get a wife so they buy a wife and give them all the money they want, or for in this song they are giving girls thousands of dollars just to get naked. When I put this in relation to my life, I can see how easy it is for girls at parties to do whatever they want; if they are hot and want to hook up with a guy, they can go up to almost anyone and hook up. Vice versa for guys, they can’t just go up to any girl because it comes off as creepy and is frowned upon. I have just noticed more and more lately that if you are a girl, you could be stupid and ignorant but if you are hot you can slide through life easy and find someone rich and live the life, whereas guys almost always will need to work hard for a good living.
Again, I am not a feminist or whatever....but...his last sentence, in particular, really bothers me. How dare he say that because it is not true at all. I am sorry but I have seen some ugly guys make it big. Anyways, looks do not matter regardless because I know damn well I am working my very best. I do not think I am the most beautiful person in the world or anything but I know that I am decent looking. I just find it frustrating that some guy can say girls do not have to work as hard as guys when in fact we do! Guys still make more than girls in any job just because they are guys.Ok...I am done because I do not want to rant...but seriously. I know what I will not like reading this summer.
